Our Mission Statement

The Red Hat Opera workshop group is an inclusive performance devising group subverting expectations by challenging the classical notion of opera, making it accessible to all skills and abilities in a safe and free space.

We achieve this by:

• Cultivating a truly inclusive group of people working collaboratively
• Implementing a holistic approach that develops both physical and vocal skills as well as confidence
• Encouraging creative freedom 
• Eliminating judgement or pressure of expectation
• Providing an accessible space to nurture and engage the individual, within a collective
• Creating and sustaining a community built on empathetic relationships that promote emotional wellbeing, health, motivation and communication
